Five new COVID-19 deaths were reported in Athens County on Tuesday, bringing the number to 124 total deaths, according to the Athens City-County Health Department.
Additionally, 11 new COVID-19 cases were reported along with a total of 623 active cases in Athens. Those numbers contribute to an 11.4% positivity rate among Athens citizens, according to the report.
Athens County currently has a 49.51% full vaccination rate, while 53.09% of Athens residents have received just one dose of the vaccine, according to the health department
