It’s clear that Ohio is still one of the top teams in the Mid-American Conference. After defeating Toledo and Buffalo, it has jumped to second place in the conference standings. But, Ohio still has plenty of opponents to go.
Ohio will stay up north for the last leg of its road trip, where it will take on Western Michigan. Western Michigan is one game behind Ohio and Ohio’s chances at a regular season title will be riding on this game.

Series History
The Bobcats have defeated the Broncos 12 times since 2005. Their most recent victory was on Feb. 13, 2021, when the Bobcats won 74-52 in The Convo.
Ohio has lost three games to Western Michigan since coach Bob Boldon took the helm. Ohio does not fare well when it plays Western Michigan outside of The Convo, as all three of its losses were in Kalamazoo.
Player to watch
Williams — Williams had 16 points and six rebounds in Western Michigan’s game against Bowling Green on Wednesday. She did all that in under 30 minutes of playing time and in a loss. Williams also leads Western Michigan in rebounds per game. Effective rebounding could be key for Western Michigan against an Ohio team that is fearless when shooting.
