Ohio announced Tuesday that its series against Drexel, scheduled for Jan. 7-8, has been canceled. The announcement came due to Drexel University’s cancelation of all athletic events for that weekend. As of Tuesday, there have been no plans to reschedule the series.
The two-game series was slated to be the Bobcats’ return to the ice after their month-long break in the season. Instead, the team will play in an intrasquad scrimmage on Jan. 7 at 5:45 p.m. in Bird Arena. The scrimmage is open to the public and will be free to attend.
Following the cancelation, Ohio’s first matchup of the new year will be against Stony Brook in Bird Arena on Jan. 14-15.
