Ohio University President Hugh Sherman announced a search Tuesday to fill the vice president for student affairs position after Jenny Hall-Jones announced her departure from OU.
Hall-Jones, the current interim vice president for student affairs, has worked at OU for 25 years and served in multiple roles. She will be joining Grand Valley State University as vice president for student affairs in February 2022.
Sherman said OU will launch a new search in the Spring Semester for a candidate to fill the position, with the help of a committee co-chaired by Scripps College of Communication Dean Scott Titsworth and Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion Gigi Secuban.
“Jenny has been a strong leader and advocate for our students for almost three decades,” Sherman said in a university news release. “We are grateful for her service and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. She will be missed.”
