Two new COVID-19 deaths were reported by the Athens City-County Health Department, bringing the death toll in Athens to 98.
One of the deaths was reported between Dec. 3 and Dec. 5, with the second being reported Dec. 7.
As the total number of deaths approaches 100, there are currently 329 active cases in the county with 21 new cases.
Over half of Athens residents have started the vaccination process, while 47.37% are fully vaccinated.
