Ohio University announced Monday that students are no longer required to seek approval from their respective college when planning domestic travel, effective immediately.
According to a previous Post report, university-sponsored travel was previously restricted domestically, and students were to request permission to travel from the dean of their college.
Students are encouraged to consider the level of community transmission in their current location and the one they plan to travel to, according to a university news release. Additionally, OU said that students should consider their vaccination status and the need to potentially quarantine or isolate.
International university-related travel is still restricted. Students must seek approval from OU for international travel.
