Ohio University announced Monday one of the toddler classrooms at the Child Development Center will be closed until Nov. 16 after a caregiver tested positive for COVID-19.
The classroom was closed immediately, and the parents and families were notified about the situation, according to a university news release.
The Athens City-County Health Department recommended the classroom close for a two-week period. If there are no more cases reported, the classroom will reopen Nov. 16.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate our families’ patience and understanding as we work to maintain a safe experience for all," Child Development Center Director Lisa Frasure said in the release.
