The champ has returned.
Josh Park won the Mid-American Conference Men’s Individual Cross Country crown for the second time in his career Saturday afternoon at Bowling Green. The team finished in fourth with 116 points. Eastern Michigan won the team race.
Park, a senior, ran 23:57.9 to win the title. Moments later, he was named First Team ALL-MAC, completing a dominant afternoon.
Michael Tankovich, finished in 23rd (25:12.0) while Seth Gard, Czar Tarr and Matthew Agosta finished 27th, 35th and 46th respectively.
The women’s team finished in sixth place with 142 points. Senior Hailey Bowles finished 14th, a career high, with a time of 21:30.0.
Freshman Sophia Hoersten showed out in her championship debut, finishing 17th (21:17.4). Carina Weaver (46th), Alyssa Christian (47th), Kenna Loveless (61st), Stephanie Pierce (71st), Tate Dawson (74th) and Jessica Hartman (84th) rounded out the Bobcats.
