Athens County reported two more COVID-19 related deaths Friday, bringing the total to four.
These are the first deaths reported in the county since Aug. 10. The first death was reported March 29, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
One of the deaths was a person in their 60s while the other was in their 70s. The prior deaths were people in their 60s.
Athens County has 1,452 COVID-19 cases, 266 of which are active, according to the Athens City-County Health Department.
