Apple announces the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini; Athens City School District will start allowing students to return to in-person learning

Today is Friday, October 16, 2020. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning, 

Earlier this week, Apple announced the release of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. Customers in the U.S., along with over 30 other countries, will be able to preorder the iPhone 12 starting at 8 a.m. EST today. Customers who wish to purchase the iPhone 12 mini will have to wait until Friday, Nov. 6.

The iPhone 12 will start at a hefty $799, while the iPhone 12 mini will start at $699. The devices have multiple variations, as they are available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. They also have an impressive selection of colors. Customers can choose between black, white, blue, green and red for both devices.

Featuring HDR displays and dual-camera systems, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are the most advanced models yet. Both devices will become widely available starting a week after their pre-order dates.
