The Pigskin Bar and Grill received an administrative citation Thursday from the Ohio Investigative Unit for permitting after-hours consumption.
OIU agents visited The Pigskin, 38 N. Court St., at 11:20 p.m. and saw patrons at the bar with alcoholic beverages past the 11 p.m. cutoff for consuming alcohol all Ohio bars must follow, following an emergency rule for liquor sales that was passed in July.
Agents also saw the bartender take two bottles of beer and give one to a patron. Both the patron and bartender drank a beer after the 10 p.m. cutoff for the sale of alcohol, which was also implemented under the emergency rule.
There was an additional patron seated at the bar who was drinking a beer after the cutoff, according to an OIU press release.
Pawpurr’s Bar, 37 N. Court St. also received a citation from OIU in August. The bar was cited with disorderly conduct, according to a previous Post report.
