The Mid-American Conference presidents will meet on Friday to vote on the potential return of the 2020 football season.
First reported by Yahoo Sports, the 12 MAC presidents will consider a six-game schedule. The MAC Championship would return back to Ford Field in Detroit.
The conference presidents originally met Sept. 19, but no vote was cast. That virtual informational meeting was to discuss the latest changes since the conference postponed its season on Aug. 8.
The MAC was the first NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision conference to postpone its season. Since then, MAC players, coaches and fans have all campaigned for a return to the field.
On Friday, they may get their wish.
