A man was arrested by the Columbus Police Department on Friday for the alleged rape of a 13- year-old girl at the Ohio University Inn.
Bryan C. Sattelmyer, 45, of Newark, is accused of having sexual conduct with the girl while he was working on a project in Athens, according to a news release from the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office.
Athens County Prosecutor Keller J. Blackburn said in the news release that his office is aware of more alleged misconduct and additional victims. He said additional charges are under consideration as the investigation continues.
He was arrested at Lowe’s in Easton Town Center in Franklin County.
The Athens County Prosecutor's Office and the Newark Police Department searched his residence in Newark on Friday afternoon on a warrant.
Sattelmyer will be held in Franklin County awaiting extradition.
