Nate Springs announced Monday that he has transferred to Kennesaw State after spending two seasons with Ohio.
Springs, who made the announcement with a Twitter post, was a top bench asset last season under first-year coach Jeff Boals. As a 6-foot-10 redshirt freshman forward, Springs averaged three points and 1.3 rebounds per game but made only two appearances in the Bobcats’ final 10 games.
The Bobcats shouldn't have much problem replacing Springs. They added three forwards — Sam Towns, Rifen Miguel and Dwight Wilson — to their roster last week during the late signing period, but Wilson will have to sit out the 2020-21 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Ohio does not currently have any other players in the transfer portal.
