Ohio University announced Sunday that some faculty and staff members will work remotely in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
All academic and administrative supervisors were asked to contact employees by Monday, March 16, to talk about remote work options, according to an OU news release. This includes graduate and undergraduate employees.
OU anticipates there will be “very limited service gaps” because of these arrangements, according to the news release.
“Meaningful work will be available for all employees throughout this transition,” according to the news release.
There have been no cases of coronavirus at OU, and the university thinks the transmission on campuses is low.
There are 26 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ohio, as of early Sunday afternoon.
