TV Review: Alayah comes back after being sent home on ‘The Bachelor’

It’s week four, rose lovers. The word champagne is officially cancelled, the women are getting downright hostile and we’re running low on plane metaphors. Sigh.

After a few weeks of nonstop pettiness, the ladies are finally getting out of the mansion for fresh scenery in none other than Cleveland. Yes, everyone was confused.

“Is there like some hidden gems in Cleveland that we’re not aware of?” Savannah wondered.

However, they won’t be leaving the drama behind. We may still be at the beginning of the season, but one thing has become crystal clear: The women are downright ruthless when it comes to their relationships with Peter and will stop at nothing to protect it.

Here are a few highlights you may have missed from the latest episode of The Bachelor:

Peter finds out Chase Rice is Victoria’s ex

As expected by previews. Victoria F. lands a one-on-one as the two take their love to “new heights” at Cedar Point. Per usual, Mykenna is sobbing about not getting a date. The two spend the day at the amusement park, riding the vomit-inducing slingshot ride. Victoria gushes, “It ended up being like, the best day, because Peter’s like, the best.” Props for being descriptive.

Let’s cut to the chase. The most anticipated part of the date was certainly Victoria’s surprise run in with her ex-boyfriend, Chase Rice, who performs for the couple. Yikes. The women may be ruthless this season, but the producers are even worse. “I’m freaking out...This situation is so uncomfortable,” Victoria admitted.

The only thing worse than watching her cling onto Peter while looking at Chase, is the fact that she knew EVERY WORD to the song he played. The very awkward situation is diffused after Victoria and Chase have a chat. “I have to tell him now,” she tells him. “If I did end up with him, I can’t lie.” Chase agrees with her and wishes her the best.

At the evening portion of the date, Victoria breaks the news to Pete. However, he’s not too heartbroken and gives her the rose. Probably just so she would stop crying.

The group date

It wouldn't be a proper season of The Bachelor without the classic sporty group date. The ladies meet Peter at the Browns’ home stadium for a nice, “friendly” pick-up game. Some women are not looking to show off their athletic side, and would rather step on some toes to get extra alone time with Pete. Victoria P. says her “back hurts,” which translated to her getting promoted to coaching with Peter on the sidelines.

Obviously, the other women are pissed. “I just want to spend time with Peter. I don’t want to play football. I don’t want to break a nail,” huffed Natasha. The game ends in a tie, which means everyone will be attending an overcrowded cocktail party. Victoria P. continues her ways by stealing Peter first, despite all the time she had during the day. Nonetheless, Peter is loving it.

“I am feeling strongly for her,” he says about her. “It’s almost getting kind of so serious so soon, but this is working.”

Alayah steals the group date rose

That's right. Alayah comes back and, of course, she’s wearing the absolute loudest shoes possible. “What is happening?” asked Mykenna.

“Everyone is shooketh to the core!” Tammy points out. Apparently, she’s back to “set the record straight.” She details her past with Victoria P. as she states the two have traveled to Las Vegas together and talked everyday leading up to filming.

“I’m obviously being lied to by someone,” Peter says with a confused look. The drama turns into a she-said-she-said debacle as Peter tries to get down to the truth of the matter. Finally, Peter reaches a point where he believes Victoria P. is not the person he thought she was and made a mistake sending Alayah home. Just like that, Alayah gets the group date rose on a date she wasn’t even supposed to be apart of. Smh Peter.

With all the ladies plotting against her at this point, it’s easy to see that she won't be around for too much longer, rose lovers.

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
