In August 2018, Netflix released the film To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, based on the novel series of the same name, and audiences went wild. With a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has proven to be a favorite on Netflix.
Now, over a year later, Netflix has released the trailer for the second installment in the series, To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, and fans are raving about it.
The first film in the series ended with Laura Jean Covey (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) truly falling in love, rather than just faking it for a mutually beneficial outcome.
Now, life seems better than ever for Laura Jean and Peter. They’re going on dates, having a great time and enjoying their relationship. However, things start to get confusing when John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher), one of Laura Jean’s old crushes and another recipient of one of her letters, shows up to win her heart.
The end of the first film shows another actor as John Ambrose, but the author of the series, Jenny Han, along with the rest of the film’s production company recast Fisher in the role.
Fisher is known for his roles in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Teen Beach Movie, as well as his performances on Dancing With the Stars, Rent Live! and Grease: Live. He has also starred in Hamilton on Broadway and was recently cast to play Evan Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway.
Audiences are not only excited for the series to continue, but are raving about Fisher’s casting.
