Men's Golf: Ohio finishes 15th in Wolfpack Intercollegiate

Ohio turned in a tough weekend and finished 15th place — last place — in the two-day Wolfpack Intercollegiate tournament at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Bobcats finished with a team score of 906 (+42), which had them six strokes behind 14th place George Mason and gave Ohio its second bottom-two finish in the fall season.

Ohio started the weekend with a first round score of 305 (+17), and struggled to make any improvements. It shot a 300 (+12) in the second round and 301 (+13) in the final round.

North Carolina State took home the winning honors with a team score of 842 (-22), four strokes of second-place finisher Campbell University, who finished with a team score of 846 (-18).

Junior Zach Crawford was Ohio’s top golfer with a total score of 219 (+3), which put him in a six-way tie for 31st place. He had round scores of 73 (+1), 76 (+4) and 70 (-2).

The Bobcats will look to improve next week at the Phoenix Intercollegiate in Burlington, North Carolina.
