Popular rapper Waka Flocka Flame is set to perform at Ohio University in the fall, and students are really excited about it.
The “No Hands” and “Hard in da Paint” rapper will perform in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m, and he is no stranger to OU’s campus.
In 2015, Flocka came to OU to headline Siblings’ Weekend, and when he arrived in Athens he was excited by all the students partying and having a fun time, so he walked down Mill street and joined a few parties. The rapper partied with many students, walked around the campus and even played some pick up basketball games with some students at the outdoor basketball courts.
His performance will most likely feature his classics, but he’ll most likely play songs from his latest mixtape, Mollywood, which features hit tracks such as “Throwin Fingers” and “Can’t Do Golds.”
Between Flocka’s laid back style and his upbeat, catchy music, he’s sure to be an entertaining performer to watch. Alongside Flocka, an unannounced guest will open for the rapper.
Audiences excited to see Flocka’s performance in September should keep a close lookout that weekend, because if he partied at OU four years ago, he’ll probably get out and enjoy the campus and students again.
