‘The Office’ is leaving Netflix in 2021; telephone scams are becoming more prevalent in today’s society

Today is Friday, June 28. Here’s what you need to know:

Happy summer!

If you’re a fan of The Office, it’s time to start binge-watching the show because everyone’s favorite paper company will be leaving Netflix at the beginning of 2021.

As Michael Scott notoriously says, “No, God; please no, no, no!”

When its current deal expires at the end of 2020, the NBC favorite will depart from Netflix. The show will then move to NBC’s forthcoming streaming platform, which will take over exclusively as the home for all nine seasons.

After outbidding Netflix in an auction, NBC is set to pay $100 million per year for the next five years to gain exclusive streaming rights to the series.

The show is No. 1 across all subscription video-on-demand services, and Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam and the rest of the Dunder Mifflin crew will no longer be readily accessible via Netflix, so you’ve got a couple years to binge the nine seasons and bask in the comedy of the great sitcom.
