At last, the final trailer for Stranger Things: Season 3 has been released, and if the trailer is telling you anything: Buckle up, people. It’s going to be a wild ride this season.
In the other trailers and teasers released before the final one, a lot of the shots were simply used to get the audience excited about the new and returning characters, the summer aesthetic and the promise that season three would hold a lot of excitement for the fans. However, the final trailer includes several vital plot points to season three, as well as creating unsettling tension and sending chills up fans’ spines.
One of the previous trailers introduced Cary Elwes character, as well as gave the audience vibes of utter normalcy—a trait that is uncharacteristic to a show with this level of strange activity. However, the final trailer is anything but normal, creating one of the most anticipated seasons for one of the most popular shows.
The recently released trailer forms the idea that even though Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) closed the gate to the Upside Down, the kids believe the monster didn’t leave, but he became stuck in the regular world, and that he may attach himself to someone again.
And that someone might just be Billy (Dacre Montgomery).
The trailer’s implication that Billy is the new host for the Mind Flayer is sparking a lot of new fan theories about what will happen this season. With the trailer showing new weapons, character team-ups, monsters and suspenseful moments, it has not only showcased a great upcoming season but brought goosebumps to the necks of more than just Will Byers (Noah Schnapp).
