Leaving at Halftime: Hockey primed for solid weekend

On this episode, host Matt Parker is joined by fellow Post hockey beat writer Trevor Colgan. The duo discuss Bobcats hockey as team concludes its regular season schedule and heads into postseason play.

No. 4 Ohio (18-3-6) will host No. 24 Kent State (19-10-1) in its final regular season series. With the absence of its top two point scorers — forward Gianni Evangelisti and defenseman Jake Houston — and forwards Cody Black and Austin Heakins out due to injury, Ohio is going to have to shuffle its roster yet again in order to find success against a formidable opponent.

In the coming weeks, the Bobcats will play in both the Central States Collegiate Hockey League tournament and the American Collegiate Hockey Association national tournament. Pending the results against Kent State, the Bobcats will look to hold their No. 4 spot and earn a first-round bye in the national tournament.
