Another month, another glut of content added to Netflix’s ever-expanding catalog for us habitual procrastinators to waste our time binge-watching.
Of course, that also means the loss of some of the streaming service’s third-party content. Here is everything coming and going this October on Netflix:
Notable new arrivals
In its latest marketing campaign, Netflix has coined October the month of “Netflix and Chills,” with many Netflix Originals coming to the service in spirit of this "spooktacular" time of year.
Netflix hopes to scare some pants off with shows like Creeped Out, The Haunting of Hill House, Haunted and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the second season of Castlevania and the original film Apostle.
Many superhero fans are eagerly awaiting Daredevil’s reunion with his arch-nemesis, Wilson Fisk, in the hero’s third season. Meanwhile, fans of the documentary series Making a Murderer are sure to be excited for the long-awaited Part 2.
The wait for both will soon be over: Making a Murderer Part 2 and the third season of Marvel’s Daredevil will arrive Oct. 19.
Other notable additions include the second season of the Netflix original series Big Mouth, which stars Nick Kroll and John Mulaney; a new stand-up special from comedian Joe Rogan; Monty Python: The Meaning of Live and Monty Python’s Life of Brian; and the enchanting The NeverEnding Story.

Those that will be missed
As if it wasn’t bad enough that the show was canceled after its first season, Freaks and Geeks will leave Netflix on Oct. 1, meaning fans of the show will likely turn to less legal means of ogling over a young James Franco.
Film buffs will be sad to see cult classics like Akira, Boogie Nights, Donnie Darko, Eyes Wide Shut, Full Metal Jacket and Sin City leave the service this month, and ’90s kids all around the world will mourn the loss of The Rugrats Movie early this October.
