The Athens Police Department received a report of a rape Friday for a rape that occurred in May.
According to the report, the victim reported she was raped on the south side of the city by a known suspect.
This case is under investigation. No further information will be released at this time pending the investigation.
This is the fourth rape report APD has received since Fall Semester began. APD has also received three reports of sexual imposition.
The Ohio University Police Department has received three reports of rape since Aug. 25.
