The Bobcats recorded their first victory of the 2018 season on Sunday, defeating Robert Morris 1-0.
As neither team scored during regulation, the game continued into overtime. But in just the second minute of overtime, freshman Abby Townsend sent a header into the goal, securing a victory for the Bobcats.
Ohio outshot RMU 20-1 before overtime, but could not score.
The win lifted Ohio to a record of 1-1-0 overall, as Robert Morris University fell to 1-1-0 as well on the season. The Bobcats travel to Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, where they’ll square off against Lipscomb.
