Zach Butler will transfer at the end of the semester and play his remaining seasons elsewhere, he announced on his Twitter page Friday afternoon.
As to where he's transferring to is still unknown.
Butler, a freshman guard, averaged 13.3 minutes per game and shot 35.7 percent from the field. He also averaged 2.5 points per game. He played in all but one of the team's games, though, and was a critical part of the team coming off the bench.
From Spartanburg, South Carolina, he'll play out the final three years of his career somewhere other than Athens.
Butler is the second Bobcat to transfer this week.
Ohio will now have four scholarships available for next season, after the graduation of Mike Laster, Kevin Mickle and the transfer of Ellis Dozier.
