Amazon named Columbus as one of the 20 finalists for its second headquarters location.
Currently, there are Amazon data centers in Hilliard, Dublin and New Albany; distribution centers in Licking County’s Etna Township and Obetz; and wind farms in northwest Ohio according to a Columbus Dispatch report. Three more distribution centers are planned for other parts of the state.
If chosen, the city would receive a $5 billion investment that would create 50,000 jobs.
