Freshman middle blocker Tia Jimerson was named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week.
The announcement was made in a news release Tuesday.
Jimerson had 30 kills and hit .480 during a road weekend split. Her .522 hitting percentage in the Bobcats’ win over Northern Illinois on Saturday allowed her to have 18 kills in the match. The Bobcats lost to Western Michigan on Friday, but Jimerson had 12 kills and hit .381.
It was the second straight week that Jimerson has garnered player of the week honors.
Last week, Jimerson was given the same honor after she helped the Bobcats go 1-1 over the weekend of Oct. 13-14. She had 31 kills on the weekend in which the Bobcats defeated Ball State and lost to Toledo.
Ohio will be back in action Friday against Akron and Saturday night against Buffalo, both at 7 p.m. in The Convo.
