It’s no secret that a Grey’s Anatomy spinoff is in the works, but one actor is preparing his exit super early.
Jason George, who plays Dr. Ben Warren, will star in the untitled series that follows firefighters in Seattle. The show was created by Shonda Rhimes.
In Thursday’s episode, Warren upped the ante and started waking up at the crack of dawn to work out. The rigorous routine did not go unnoticed by his wife Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) who asked him why he was waking up before rounds. Warren said the training was to “stay fit,” especially for his wife.
In the 13 finale, Warren aided some of Seattle’s finest firefighters when Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital went up in flames. Soon after the episode, the spinoff was announced.
Warren hasn’t played a major roles in any episodes of season 14. He has only popped into scenes and hasn’t been a prominent player. That means Warren’s exit from the mother series could be coming sooner rather than later. At least he’s in good enough shape to handle working with firefighters.
Some fans took to Twitter to talk about Warren:
