Imagine a live-action Dora the Explorer film. Pretty ridiculous, right?
Now imagine it produced by Transformers director Michael Bay.
Yes, a movie featuring the bilingual explorer is in the works at Paramount, and it sounds ridiculous.
Bay is known for producing big spectacle movies with lots of explosions, and robots are almost always involved. So maybe Dora will pause, look at the audience and ask for help while fighting an army of mechanical beings.
Neighbors director Nick Stoller was brought onto the project to pen the script, which adds a whole other layer. The film might take a funny turn, possibly bordering on a spoof.
The whole idea seems hard to believe, but maybe it will actually be good? Let’s just hope there is a metal version of that famous theme song.
