Blair Brown was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 148th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft on Saturday.
Picked at 148th, Brown is the second Ohio player off the board, just trailing Tarell Basham who was selected 80th by the Indianapolis Colts.
This is the first time under coach Frank Solich's tenure that two Bobcats were drafted in the same draft class. It's also the first time since 1972.
Brown will join the Jaguars likely at inside linebacker, where he will fit as a middle linebacker in the 3-4 scheme.
He finished his senior season with 128 tackles, which placed him as a First Team All-American for Pro Football Focus. He also registered 4.5 sacks on a defense that finished sixth in run defense in the entire nation.
At just 5-foot-11, Brown's size scared some teams away. But others feel that Brown is one of the most underrated draft prospects in this year's draft.
