Coach Joel Greenlee will cap off his 20th season at the helm of the Bobcats by being inducted into the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Greenlee, an Iowa native, wrestled at now-conference foe Northern Iowa from 1986-89.
At Ohio, Greenlee just finished his 20th season as coach. His career record as a coach is 211-148-5.
As a Panther, Greenlee accumulated a career record of 127-16-4 and never lost a single match in a dual meet. His winning percentage (.878) also makes Greenlee the winningest wrestler in the history of the program.
He was a two-time All-American after placing fourth and second at the NCAA Championships in 1988 and 1989 respectively.
Before coming to Ohio, however, Greenlee got his coaching start right from his roots in Northern Iowa. He was an assistant from 1989-97, where the Panthers saw a program record of 70-58.
Greenlee finished second at the 1992 U.S. Olympic Trials and was a training partner for the Olympic Games.
Alongside Greenlee at the induction ceremony in April will be his brother, Justin. Justin also wrestled at Northern Iowa from 1993-1995 and earned many of the same accolades as his former, including a two-time All-American.
The awards banquet will take place in Cresco, Iowa on April 10 at 6:30 p.m.
