Hockey: 'Bumps and Bruises' blog

A weekly blog about the injuries for Ohio Hockey

As the season progresses for the Bobcats, and the weekend series continue to physically impact them, they will inevitably get injured. Post reporters Jordan Horrobin and Spencer Holbrook will write a weekly blog — if injuries allow — to document Ohio’s bumps and bruises.

Ohio swept Liberty last weekend with a group of players that Ohio coach Sean Hogan called “a little dinged up.”

Hogan listed three players who played, but were “hurting” — defenseman Jake Faiella and forwards Matt Hartman and Austin Heakins — as well as defenseman Mike LaFrenier, who missed both games.

Forwards

Hartman (broken finger on his left hand); Hogan expects Hartman’s finger to bother him until at least Christmas.

Heakins (back pain); He will play regularly.

Defensemen

LaFrenier (concussion); Hogan said LaFrenier is “okay now” and should be back to play against UM-Dearborn.

Faiella (back pain); He will play regularly.
