Ohio head coach Sean Hogan was named the head coach for the 2017 Winter World University Games, in a press release announced by USA Hockey on Tuesday.
Hogan has previously served as an assistant during the 2013 and 2015 Winter World University Games.
He is currently in his third season as the Bobcats head coach and boasts a record of 56-16-8.
“We are extremely pleased to have Sean Hogan leading our squad into the 2017 Winter World University Games,” Ashley Bevan, the team leader for the U.S. Men’s National University Team and the senior director of adult hockey at USA Hockey, told USA Hockey.
Joining Hogan on the staff are Illinois head coach Nick Fabbrini and Lindenwood head coach Rick Zombo, who played in the NHL for 12 years as a defenseman.
Both Fabbrini and Zombo will be making their first appearances on Team USA’s coaching staff.
