Coach Clay Calkins wants to see more consistency for Ohio this weekend.
The young Bobcat squad hits the road again this weekend, this time traveling to Winthrop University for the Winthrop Invitational.
While shuffling athletes last weekend proved successful, coach Clay Calkins said this week will be about getting runners back into their normal events, as that is where the most success has been. For example, Taylor Smith won Mid-American Conference East Field Athlete of the week in the high jump.
"We hope everybody PRs (posts a personal record), because when everybody is putting out those performances, we're doing well," Calkins said.
The coach also expects the throwers to have a good weekend. Donyelle Brown qualified for the NCAA meet last year in the shot put, and Calkins hopes the invitational will be her first step to doing it again.
However, with a young team like the Bobcats, the constant focus is improvement.

"We had a proud finish at the Shamrock Invitational (at Coastal Carolina), we'll look to build on that," Calkins said. "We'll see what happens."
