Ohio finishes up regular season at Marshall and James Madison.
Last weekend, Ohio bounced back with an easy win over Ball State during its senior day after a disappointing loss at Buffalo.
Now, the Bobcats will look to build off of those strong performances against the Cardinals heading into this weekend when they travel to Huntington, West Virginia for the Marshall Invitational.
Ohio will swim against Marshall and Toledo for its last meet of the regular season. The Bobcats previously beat the Thundering Herd, 197.7-107.5, on Nov. 13.
Head coach Rachel Komisarz-Baugh said she is hopeful Ohio will use last week as a springboard to their next invitational, taking on a familiar foe in Marshall.
“I think they should build some confidence off (the win),” Komisarz-Baugh said. "Even in some races where we were trying different strategies, and trying to build confidence, and I think (building confidence is) exactly what we did."
One swimmer, in particular, who has built much needed confidence moving into the Bobcats' final meet is Stephanie Gyurke, who won the 200-yard breaststroke for the Bobcats during her senior day.
Komisarz-Baugh had high praise for her performance and season.
“She’s stepped up and taken a lot of pride in what this team is,” Komisarz-Baugh said.

On the diving side, the Bobcats will look to continue their hot streak when they travel to the James Madison University Diving Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Haleigh Bartlett has won seven straight three-meter diving events and will look to make it eight in Harrisonburg.
Although she has recently been on the winning side of things, Bartlett is still not satisfied with where she is.
"I definitely didn't do as well as I could have done (against Ball State)," Bartlett said.
The Marshall Invitational festivities are all day Friday and Saturday in Huntington. The diving meet will begin at 10 a.m. in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
