The Bobcats win at Coach Joel Greenlee's alma mater, Northern Iowa.
Ohio Coach Joel Greenlee called for his redshirt seniors to step up.
They answered.
Led by redshirt seniors Phil Wellington, Cody Walters and Andrew Romanchik, Ohio came back from an early deficit to defeat Northen Iowa 18-17 Sunday, in a matchup featuring Greenlee’s alma mater.
Walters led the charge, defeating Kyle Lux 1-0 in a tight match.
With the win, Ohio tied the overall dual score 12-12.
Then, Romanchik was able to take advantage in the third period of his match with a huge takedown against Drew Foster.
Romanchik won the match, 3-2, and gave the Bobcats a 15-12 lead.
No. 13 Wellington clinched the win for Ohio with a 6-4 victory over Jared Bartel.
Throughout the past five matches, Ohio is 4-1, its best winning streak of the season.
The four redshirt seniors have stepped up in the past five matches, each contributing in their own way, per Greenlee.

Ohio has put itself in good position to finish the season strong, but at the moment, it is just enjoying the win.
“It was a great atmosphere to wrestle in,” Greenlee said. “Our guys stepped up and wrestled hard, got wins were we could. I'm proud of this team.”
