An APD report found the pedestrian at fault for an accident on Court Street on Friday night.
While a Friday night accident was originally thought to be a hit and run, a later investigation by the Athens Police Department revealed that the pedestrian "darted in front of the vehicle."
According to a police report sent out Sunday night, the vehicle was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the pedestrian.
The incident was described as a "hit and run" by some witnesses, but the driver of the car only drove until he found a parking spot on the north side of Court Street.
The investigation later determined that the pedestrian was at fault for the accident, according to the report.
Athens County EMS transported the person to the emergency room at OhioHealth O'Bleness Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Both the driver of the car and the pedestrian weren't Ohio University students or Athens residents.
