Football: Ohio players to receive gifts for appearance in Raycom Media Camellia Bowl

The Bobcats will receive a watch and a backpack, among other gifts, for their appearance in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl.

With Ohio’s selection into the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama, it will not only get the honor of playing in a nationally televised game on ESPN, but also will receive a sizable amount of free gifts for the team’s student-athletes.

The Bobcats will receive a gift suite, a Fossil watch, a commemorative game coin and case, a cap and beanie, an Ogio duffle bag and a Big Game autograph football, according to Sports Business Daily. The gifts are provided by the college football's organizing committee.

Other Mid-American Conference teams are receiving similar gifts, though Bowling Green has maybe the most expensive haul in the NCAA, with gifts including a Timely Watch Co. watch, Sol Republic Punk speakers and a 32-quart Lit cooler.

The NCAA allows bowls to award $550 worth of gifts to a maximum of 125 team participants, according to a report in 2013

Ohio players received a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, Oakley sunglasses, a Schutt mini helmet and an Oakley backpack when they competed in the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s St. Petersburg Bowl in its last bowl game in 2013.
