The Bobcats add a guard and forward to their lineup in the early signing period.
Ohio women's basketball coach Bob Boldon announced Monday the program had added Amani Burke and Meche'la Cobb during the early signing period.
Burke is a 5-foot-9-inch guard from Columbus who averaged 14.3 points during her junior year at Eastmoor Academy. She shot 55 percent from the field and averaged 3.5 steals a game in 24 games last season.
Burke was voted First-Team All-Conference in her past three seasons and was deemed the Area Point Leader by The Columbus Dispatch.
Her brother, Trey, famously turned down Ohio State to attend the University of Michigan and currently plays for the Utah Jazz in the NBA.
Cobb is a 6-foot forward from New Albany, Ohio who averaged 19 points, nine rebounds and three blocks per game during her sophomore year. She was Special Mention OCC during her freshman year and First Team All-OCC her sophomore year. She was also the voted runner-up conference Player of the Year during her sophomore year.
