The trial for a September sexual assault has been rescheduled for next week.
Despite being scheduled to appear in Athens County Municipal Court Tuesday afternoon, John Hyland's pretrial for rape charges was rescheduled for next week.
According to court documents, Hyland is now scheduled to appear in court Nov. 3, at 2 p.m.
The movement was filed Tuesday morning with the clerk of courts office.
Hyland was arrested on Oct. 4 in conjunction with an investigation of a rape that took place in Bromley Hall on Sept. 26.
He was charged with rape, a first degree felony with a maximum sentence of 11 years in prison.
