The Bobcats were predicted to tie for third in the 2015 MAC preseason poll.
Ohio has been predicted to tie for third with Central Michigan in the Mid-American Conference this season after votes were casted by the conference's coaches and polls were released Tuesday afternoon.
Ohio received one first-place vote and one vote to win the MAC Championships.
Last season, the Bobcats went 6-11 along with a 4-2 MAC record — good enough for fourth place in the MAC. The Bobcats fell to Kent State (2-0) in the MAC Championship after upsetting the No. 1 seed Central Michigan.
In front of Ohio's ranking was Kent State and Miami University — with the Golden Flashes being the former MAC Champions.
