Admission is $20 per person. The event will include personal talks from breast cancer survivors, ROTC’s push up contest and a surprise student performance. Doors will open at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m.

The walk will start from Ping Center and follow a path through West Green by the Hocking River, then will return to the Ping Center. All together, the walk is three miles.

The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer is devoted to advancing research in breast cancer. The foundation was inspired by the late Stefanie Spielman, the mother of four and wife of former football star Chris Spielman.

“Stefanie was, and continues to be, a champion of hope for all those afflicted with breast cancer,” said Kim Collins, director of the fund.

Through Ohio communities hosting fundraising events, The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research has been able to raise more than $16 million for research.

Corey Mouch, a freshman business major, said he had heard a lot about the walk.

“This is the first time my mom will be coming up for Moms Weekend, so we wanted to try out one of the most talked up events,” Mouch said. “She is so excited to do this with me.”
