Big Mamma’s Burritos, a popular uptown eatery, will grace Columbus with a new location in August
Big Mamma’s Burritos announced Tuesday afternoon its plans to expand to a Columbus location in late 2015.
The uptown burrito shop is set to open a Columbus location in August at 2480 N. High St., near the northern edge of Ohio State University’s campus.
The new location will contain “much more” seating than the Athens store and will include a full-service bar, according to the company’s Facebook post.
The store’s owner, Quinn Schaller, also created a kickstarter.com page dedicated to raising money to build a patio at the new location.

“We have the basics covered but we’re asking for funding to help take it over the top,” the Kickstarter.com page reads. “One of the biggest wants is to make an awesome patio out front for people to gather, relax and enjoy their burrito, a good beer and the warm weather.
So far, Big Mamma’s has raised nearly $800 toward its $10,000 goal thanks to 22 backers.
The page reads that construction on the new store has already begun.
