A new round of additions were announced Friday for the Nelsonville Music Festival.
The Black Lips, a variety of Athens acts and more have been added to the Nelsonville Music Festival in the fourth round of announcements.
The Nelsonville Music Festival is set to take place May 28 through 31 at Robbins Crossing at Hocking College.
The Black Lips’ are garage punk rockers, whose 2014 album Underneath the Rainbow included production work from Black Keys’ Patrick Carney.
The lineup also includes Tim Easton, an Eastern Nashville singer-songwriter who was raised in Akron, Ohio.
Wooden Indian Burial Ground, a psychedelic garage band from Portland, Oregon, will be returning to the festival. The band also played in 2013.
Athens bands have been incorporated into the festival including Weird Science and The Summoners. It is the first time for these acts to perform at the Nelsonville Music Festival.
Ben Stalets, a Toledo songwriter, who recently performed at Casa Nueva has been added to the lineup.
Athens musician Michael “DJ Barticus” Bart and John E. Clift will take part in the late night campground event.
