A drunk man was found in someone else’s dorm room; urinated in the bed in the process
In any police department, there are always a number of odd reports to be filed.
For officers in Athens this weekend, those odd reports included a man passing out in someone else’s dorm room and another man apparently fighting with no one in particular.
A man was arrested Sunday at about 2:30 a.m. on suspicion of disorderly conduct by intoxication after he was found “engaging in conduct, which appeared to be fighting but nobody else was present.” The man was not wearing a shirt and his pants were soaked, according to an Ohio University Police Department report.
It is believed that the man had jumped into a nearby creek, the police report said. Temperatures were near freezing that night.
The 19-year-old man was unsteady on his feet, had extremely dilated pupils and was unable to make a rational statement, according to the report.
About three hours later, OUPD received a report about a man who had entered a room in Perkins Hall and then passed out on a bed. The female resident of the room found the man and attempted to wake him, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
The resident contacted a resident assistant who then contacted OUPD, the report said.
The man also urinated in the bed.

OUPD also received a report regarding a missing vehicle. A man advised OUPD Sunday that he had parked his red 2002 Chevrolet Prizm in OU’s Parking Lot 40 at 12:30 a.m. that morning. When the man returned five hours later, his car was missing.
The report stated the man had the keys to his vehicle and hadn’t given anyone permission to drive the vehicle when he left it in the parking lot. The man had also contacted local tow companies before filing the report, though none of the companies reported towing the vehicle.
Officers were also dispatched to the Nelson parking garage for a call of criminal damaging Sunday at about 3 p.m. after a woman reported that three tires on her vehicle had been damaged.

Earlier in the weekend, police observed two females fighting on the ground on South College Street by the Voigt Hall driveway, according to the report.
The two females were separated by law enforcement Saturday at 8:33 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct by fighting.
Some time later, police found a man passed out on the floor of OU’s Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium during the Waka Flocka Flame performance.
The officers who made contact with the man noticed he had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol.
The man who had passed out was charged with underage consumption and intoxication.
