Arts

Every year the Black Student Cultural Programming Board hosts a concert for all visiting sibs, with this year featuring artists Waka Flocka and $hy Glizzy. The concert begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Templeton Blackburn Memorial Auditorium. Tickets prices range from $15 to $25 and are still available for purchase as of press time.

The Kennedy Art Museum is also ready for Sibs Weekend with a variety of exhibitions for perusal and interactive activities inspired by the art in the museum.

The Athena will screen The Labyrinth, a 1986 British-American cult classic.

The theater will have two showings of The Labyrinth this weekend, one Friday at 7 p.m. and the other Saturday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $6.50 and $3 respectively.

Sports

The Bird Arena is busy this weekend, with Ohio’s hockey team playing Oklahoma on both Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for general admission.

The men’s basketball team is also stepping onto the court this weekend, facing off against Eastern Michigan at 2 p.m. Saturday. Ohio University is currently selling $5 student section tickets for sibs.

When the hockey team isn’t on the ice, the arena is hosting a Skate with Your Sib event from 10:30 p.m. to midnight on Saturday. Part of their Midnight Meltdown series, Skate with Your Sib is a recreational skate open to the public. The entrance fee is $3.50 as is the cost of renting skates.

University events

On Saturday at 2 p.m., Ohio University Campus Recreation will host Fieldhouse Fest, a luau with inflatables, airbrush tattoos, face painting, a magician, sports games, crafts, raffles and free food. The fee is $5 per person at the door.

University Program Council also put together a party for Sibs Weekend. The Glo Party starts at 4 p.m. in Baker Ballroom. Admission is free and they offer glow cotton candy, glow laser tag and glow-in-the-dark airbrush tattoos.
