Due to weather concerns, the sixth-annual Bare on the Bricks run, set to occur Saturday morning, is being postponed to mid-April, said Amanda Moline, Student Alumni Board student outreach committee member.
The run was to be hosted by SAB and Phi Kappa Psi to benefit My Sister's Place, a shelter for victims of domestic violence, through monetary donations. Other Athens charities as well as My Sister's Place will receive clothing donations as part of the event.
"(Those planning the event and administrators) didn't think that the weather conditions provided a safe environment for students tomorrow," said Braxton Stricker, co-philanthropy chair for Phi Kappa Psi.

Kendra Lutes, SAB vice president of philanthropy, said in an email that was sent out to participants who were signed up that "the freezing rain would result in far too many injuries." According to a tweet sent out by Scalia Lab in Athens, it is predicted that Saturday's weather will bring four to six inches of snow, ice, sleet and freezing rain.
The after-party that was set to occur at Pigskin Bar and Grille, 38 N. Court St., will still happen tomorrow from 12 to 2 p.m. There will still be donations collected to make it a "#NearlyNaked" party. Stricker said the food had already been ordered for the event to occur at Pigskin.
"It's a large event that takes a lot of planning, so we're trying to salvage it as best we can," Stricker said.
Stricker said they are thinking about rebranding the run when it occurs at a later date.
"(The rescheduled) event will be a late-night glow run," Moline said via email. "Anyone who is registered for (Bare on the Bricks) will also be able to attend this event without paying a second registration fee."
