Peter Mather will step down from the part time position.
The secretary of Ohio University’s Board of Trustees announced Wednesday that he will be resigning from his administrative position at the end of the year.
Though he will no longer serve the half-time position, Dr. Peter Mather will remain an associate professor of Counseling and Higher Education with the Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education, President Roderick McDavis said in an email to students.
In the email, McDavis thanked Mather for his service over the years.
“We wish him continued success in his contributions to Ohio University and its students,” McDavis said in the email.
Mather was appointed secretary by the board July 2012. OU will look internally to find Mather’s replacement, according to the email.
Mather’s replacement is expected to be announced in the Board of Trustees' June meeting.
