Both A.J. Ouellette and Josiah Yazdani were named Mid-American Conference players of the week on Thursday.
For the sixth time this season at least one Bobcat was recognized for their work on the field.
This time, running back A.J. Ouellette and kicker Josiah Yazdani were given Mid-American Conference East honors on offense and special teams, respectively.
For Ouellette, a freshman, this is the first award of his career after his career day in Ohio's 37-14 rout against Buffalo on Wednesday.
Coming back from an ankle injury, Ouellette ran for 155 yards on just 29 carries and added two scores on the ground. He also caught two passes for 11 yards in the game.
Yazdani, a redshirt junior, earned the award for the third time this season and the fifth time in his career.
Yazdani was three-for-three on field goals from 19, 28 and 33 yards, and nailed all three PATs. His eight kickoffs totaled 489 yards with three touchbacks.
